Get Answers to Frequently Asked Questions Here

  1. Does it hurt?

While one’s pain threshold varies from person to person, a topical anesthetic is applied before and throughout each procedure to maintain minimal discomfort.  Most clients are very comfortable during their procedure!

  2. How long does it take?

I ask all clients to allow a 3-hour window of availability.  A consultation is provided before every procedure. During this time we will design the perfect shape and color to complement your features.  Paperwork and a medical history form will also be completed.  The procedure itself typically takes 2-2 ½ hours.  I like to allow additional time for any questions or concerns as well as ample time for the use of topical anesthetic before and throughout your procedure!

  3. What if I don’t like it?

Before the actual procedure begins we will spend time perfecting your desired design and choosing colors, TOGETHER.  It is essential for you to have the ultimate say in every procedure!  We will periodically stop throughout the procedure as well and check for possible necessary adjustments.  If you are unhappy with the healed results, adjustments to shape and color can be made at your 6-8 week touchup!

  4. What will the final color look like?

The immediate color following a procedure will seem a bit bold and dramatic, being darker in color.  This is normal.  The color will lessen during the healing process, becoming softer and have a softer more natural look when fully healed.  Though procedures areas heal at different rates, your “healed” color can usually be seen as early as day 7.   It is common for the pigment to have a disappearing effect.  Initially, the outcome is bold, as your body goes through the healing process,  the procedure area will peel and flake away, as the old skin is new granular skin is formed, essentially camouflaging the pigment.  Do not panic!  The color is still there and will resurface in roughly 2-3 weeks’ time.  Your pigment WILL FADE after your initial procedure.  Please understand, your 6-8 week touch-up is essential to achieve your final result!  Without this secondary appointment, your Permanent Cosmetic Procedure is INCOMPLETE!

  5. Is it Safe?

Yes!  Any and all products and pigments used are immediately disposed of after each procedure. All needles are single-use, sterilized, individually wrapped, and properly disposed of after each client. Any Non-disposable machine parts are covered with barrier protection and properly sanitized before and after each client.  Safety and Sanitization are of the utmost priority and all OSHA and CDC guidelines, are strictly followed.  If you are concerned about having an allergic reaction to the pigment we use, a patch test is available by request.  All Pigments used at Replenished You Permanent Cosmetics are held and tested to the highest standards, the likely hood of an allergic reaction or complications is extremely rare, almost non-existent!
